Publish your website

Publishing your site to a Scene subdomain is effortless — just click the button in the top-right corner and it goes live on a generic Scene subdomain, no setup needed.

If you decide to change your domain, you have two options:
1. Update your Scene subdomain
2. Connect your own custom domain

Update your Scene sub domain

Scene automatically handles the DNS configuration, so your new domain goes live in seconds. To update the subdomain, click “Change,” enter your desired name, and hit “Save.”

Connect a Third-Party Domain

To publish your Scene site to a custom domain, you’ll need to update the DNS records with your domain provider. You can purchase a domain from services like Google Domains or GoDaddy. Once you have it, click the “Configure” button to get started.

Enter your desired domain name and click “Add custom domain.” Scene will detect your domain provider and automatically generate the necessary DNS records.

Next, copy the DNS records generated by Scene and add them to your domain provider’s DNS management panel. Most registrars and hosting providers offer a custom interface for this. Below are support articles for the most commonly used providers:

After adding the records to your domain provider, return to Scene and click “Verify.” Once verified, your custom domain will be successfully connected.

Note:

To connect a new custom domain, first disconnect the current one, then follow the same steps to set up the new domain.
